When hard work PAYS off.
About a year or two ago I did an interview with Willie Greene, founder of WeTheUrban for PMc Magazine. I have always been a huge fan of the site that I literately got super excited when he said YES to the interview. From then on we became great friends, so much so that every fashion week are my favorite days, not only because it’s in fact fashion week but because we have so much fun together. December 2012 Willie and I were talking about me joining the team and I couldn’t say no! When you believe in something whole heartily never let that chance go.
So here I am, Executive Editorial Assistant for WeTheUrban! When I saw my name is on a actual printed magazine for issue 6 all those memories of me thinking of the day when it would happen brought tears to my eyes. It’s been such an amazing couple of months for me that the launch party was truly amazing. It was one of those moments were you stop and say “Wow, I was part of this”. Hard work actually pays off. Never give up because the end result whether you make it or not is worth it, because you put your heart into it, and thats what matters.

February 10th came around which was right smack in the middle of New York Fashion Week and the same night of the Grammys (shout out to M83, for being nominated). The pressure was on but we all knew that it was going to be magical, and so it was. Nicola Formichetti with Willie Greene hosted the launch party at Hotel Americano and it couldn’t have gone any better! Thanks to Andrew Tess for the photos and DJ Colour Vision for bringing the fresh tunes.
