This article will tell you about the company Nilliz.com, an ecommerce business. My name is Pernilla Krook and I am the founder of Nilliz. I live in a small town in Finland. I have a wonderful family, 3 kids, and an amazing husband. I am a preschool teacher and as a 43-year-old woman in the middle of my life, my weekdays are busy with work, taking my kids to their school and hobbies, parents’ meetings, taking care of our house, going to the gym, having an online business and working as a mentor for other preschool teachers. My ecommerce business story starts with an injury. I had fallen after an evening meeting, and I broke my leg. I had surgery and got a 9 inches long nail and 3 screws in my femur. I was on sick leave for 6 weeks and started studying how to earn extra money from home. I had a big desire inside of me to be able to give more. Give more to my family and to be able to give back to society. I wanted to have more time for my family, be able to work from home, with my own schedule. Our children are only children once and it’s so important that they have parents that are actually present. Don’t get me wrong, I love my work as a preschool teacher, but the salary doesn’t give me the opportunity to give my family what they need. What do I mean by that? My husband and I have to struggle to maintain our economy every month. Especially today, when we are in a strange situation regarding everything that happens in the world particularly with inflation. Only to put food on the table and to get a warm house for the winter is going to be a challenge. You all know what I am talking about. Another perspective is that I felt an honest desire to be able to help my parents.  They have worked hard all their lives and my dad still works 15 hours a day as a truck driver and he is 75 years old. He is an amazing man and father and he has put his trust in God. My mother is the best mother, she has always fought for my behalf and she has stood by me and her family for better and for worse. I have a huge respect for our previous generations, they have built this world for us and now we have to take our responsibility to take care of this legacy called mother earth. I am passionate about making others feel good and I feel that I have a lot to give. When I can make other people happy I also feel good. I believe in positive thinking, and I try to see every struggle like an opportunity to learn from the experience. 

Anyway, I got hooked on dropshipping and put a lot of hours into how to learn more about it. I read all I could find on the internet, looked at many many YouTube videos, and so on. I chose to start up with Shopify, It looked simple and easy to understand. With no experience, I started designing a website and familiarizing myself with how to advertise to reach out to customers. The advertising was the trickiest part. I used Facebook ads and Instagram ads. I quickly realized that I needed to put in large sums of money to be able to reach out to a large crowd. I took help from a marketing expert to take care of all the advertisements. I made marketing videos with different programs, and they came out very beautiful. Unfortunately I had a bad distributor in the beginning so the shipping time was horribly and I targeted Europa. I took a break and did some research, then I stumbled upon Sellvia, and I fell in love with the shipping time, the high-class products – especially the products that are made in the USA. I started targeting the USA market. It’s much easier and the opportunities are huge. I am so glad to finally have the perfect supplier and fast shipping. The products that I offer are trendy and high quality, it is so important to be able to offer high quality to build a confident brand and to keep the customers coming back.So what are my collections on my website? The struggle with e-commerce today is many things. One of them is to find the perfect products to sell. The market is huge and there’s a lot of competition out there! Another issue is, How to drive traffic to your website. It’s a lot of things that need to be set up, like SEO, PPC, social, email, and so on. The marketing needs to be visible where your key audience are. You need to be more unique than your competition and that takes hard work. Why do the customers want to buy from you? Give them something special  

You need to be able to make your customers happy and satisfied so they will come back to your store and buy more. The product needs to be high quality and the overall experience should be good. A returning customer is cheaper for You as the seller, to convert into a buyer than finding new ones all the time! Many people think they will get rich overnight and without investing any money in advertising. The biggest mistake you can make is focusing on cheap low quality products.

When you reach out to your possible customers and get sales, it feels amazing and your opportunities are big. You will be able to work from all over the world, and you are your own boss. This business has a lot of opportunities in store for you if you have played your cards right. 

I believe if you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to be willing to take risks. It should feel scary, to take a step out into the unknown is scary.  Focus on yourself, and work in silence. To chase after your dreams and goals is a long process, it’s nothing that will happen overnight. You have to create a vision, then you have a much larger picture of your business. Vision is driven by passion and dreams, and they are reflected through real efforts to create real results. But remember, you have to put in the work to achieve your goals. Learn new skills you will need for your business, learn them via podcast/books/videos etc.
