Founder’s/Owner’s story and what motivated them to start the business
I am from Hungary which is known as the “spa capital” of the world. When I moved to the US, I wanted to bring a piece of Hungary here with traditional remedies and new technology to provide measurable results. I noticed that there was a lack of clean skincare free of harsh chemicals and fragrances and so I created my natural Ildi Pekar Skincare line which is meant for every skin type. We use it as backbar for many of our treatments.
The challenges the business/market is facing
The market is a bit oversaturated which makes it tricky to stand out. There is also misinformation constantly being spread which makes bringing the right message difficult when so many people are going against you. We’re also still recovering from a pandemic where people are still afraid to leave the house and get pampered like they deserve.
The opportunities the business/market is facing
People are becoming more aware about what’s in their products therefore ingredients and products are getting better. Technology has also become more innovative where you’re able to see results right away after treatments. Downtime is becoming a thing of the past in a world where we’re so busy and can’t afford to hide away for a few days.
Advice to others about businesses
Stay true to yourself and don’t get influenced by others who may not understand the vision. It’s very difficult not to get discouraged by new trends but stick to your core beliefs and knowledge and you’ll succeed.
