For instance, a 12-week studying gave a sample population daily servings of 1 g collagen hydrolysate or placebo for three months and watched the effects on wrinkling. Besides, collagen supplements have been taken to improve scars on the skin, and the FDA approved such uses, including using collagen implants. Nonetheless, studies on whether collagen can help boost skin structure are subject to scrutiny, and such a use cannot be stated with confidence at the moment.
